Maui Mai Tai
The original Mai Tai, created in 1944 by California restaurateur Trader Vic Bergeron, migrated to Hawa'i and is now our most popular rum drink! Since Trader Vic was making it for Tahitian guests (who named it using the Tahitian words “mai tai”, which mean “very good” in English) the Polynesian spirit reins supreme, especially when made with genuine local spirits from Haleakala Distillers.
