Braddah Kimo deplores the slaughter of marine mammals for any reason. Whales, seals, porpoises, dolphins and others are all God's creatures, put in the sea to add to its diversity and thrive just like we do on land. They are intelligent, sensitive animals who deserve to be left alone in their natural habitat. They were here first, after all. For this reason and many others, we applaud the Sea Shepherd foundation and have pledged to support their work in the future:

If you share Braddah Kimo's beliefs, we urge you to log on to the site listed above and join their membership. They need the help! While you are at it, maybe boycott rums which celebrate the past slaughter of these majestic animals; anything with "Whalers" on the label should be avoided.

MAUI's WINERY. Something special on historic Ulupalakua Ranch. If you come upcountry, here is a place worth visiting, just a few miles down the road from where Kimo lives. Check out their website and make time to come for a tour and tasting:

MAUI's WINERY-
-
These are the nicest folks you will find on your visit to Maui. They will show you around their historic ranch headquarters and winery, let you taste some of their unique local wines, and leave you wishing you could visit every day. Kimo is still struggling against the bureaucracy to open his distillery to tours, so until we can open our doors to you, this is the best way to experience fine beverage making in upcountry Maui. When Kimo started his own distillery, the folks at Maui's Winery were right there to help, showing aloha every step of the way. He will always be grateful. Enjoy, and tell those nice ladies in the tasting room that Kimo sent you!

MAUI TROPICAL PLANTATION
See Maui the way Kimo did as a kid, growing up in a plantation environment. All the exotic tropical crops are grown here, even if they are no longer found in commercial cultivation on Maui. The tour guides know their stuff, and will help you appreciate what Maui was before 2 million visitors a year started coming here. Don't get us wrong, we love visitors; we just like to keep something from the old days.
